VICE recently approached me to illustrate an interview with Lyndsey Harrington, a self-professed urban witch from Bushwick, New York. Writer Ariel Katz talked with Ms Harrington about what it really means to be a witch, the true nature of spells, and about the work she does in her community to positively influence the lives of the people around her. The illustration had to be warm and friendly, and had to tread gently around the tropes of wicked witches and bubbling cauldrons – because Ms Harrington is not your typical witch.
